Reg Begin
Director of Operational Performance Improvement
Reg Begin spent over 42 years with General Motors Corporation. His vast career allowed him to gain expertise in multiple areas, including Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Human Resource Management, Materials Management, and Supplier Development. As Business Unit Manager for GM, he has led successful business turn-arounds, and has worked in manufacturing, assembly, materials management, maintenance, and personnel, where he coordinated regional training for all plants. As Senior Manager of Systems Optimization at Worldwide Purchasing, he drove throughput performance improvement and worked with all GM global regions and a broad supplier base. He has worked with over 100 plus suppliers across multiple commodities to improve performance and solidify their delivery and profitability.
He has also worked to entrench and integrate the Theory of Constraint and Lean Manufacturing Principles as a means of achieving rapid bottom line results and ensuring optimum performance and competitive strength. Reg has traveled extensively to all global regions and is an accomplished multi-cultural negotiator and leader.
Reg is a certified Kepner-Tregoe Trainer in Problem Solving/Decision Making/Planning, a certified trainer in Program Management the TOC Way, a TOC “Jonah”, and has conducted over 150 training sessions of Synchronous (Lean) Manufacturing and Theory of Constraints.
